Laura Geller Baked Gelato Illuminator

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Illuminator

I was recently introduced to Laura Geller make-up by a very trusted and knowledgeable beauty expert friend and it came highly recommended, I had heard of the brand but never actually used it myself so I was really excited to also be invited to meet the lovely lady herself over brunch at House of Fraser, Oxford Street, where the range had recently launched, for a special event. It’s so refreshing to meet the name behind the brand but also to meet someone who is so so passionate about her range that it is truly infectious. Laura is a highly regarded and experienced make up artist herself and really knows what works!

I’m looking forward to discovering more and more gems within the range but today I’m starting with just the one, the Baked Illuminator. This is truly a cult product and recently one of the shades sold out just about everywhere! I’m yet to try  this colour, Gilded Honey, but if it is anywhere as amazing as the colour I did try, Ballerina, I’m in!

So on first look the packaging is gorgeous, a delightful swirl of colour that looks like a sumptuous dessert hence the gelato name! This is a powder but it has a really creamy texture that’s super easy to apply and blend so you never have to worry about overdoing it! When I used this I found it really easy to build up the glow gradually too.

It comes in two colours, Gilded honey, a warm golden shade and Ballerina, a beautiful rose gold, the colour I tried.

As a make up artist for me the real proof of how good a product works is seeing the results in my work and so I recently used it on a shoot and am very happy with the result! What do you think?

Baked Illuminator is available at House of Fraser and priced at £21.00
